We spent a couple of hours on a beach with a zip lock bag each,
just looking and collecting on our summer hoilday. The more we got used to looking, the more we found! It doesn't have to be a sunny day.
The children spent ages sifting through their finds and arranging them - with some beautiful abstract results!
"One man's junk is another man's treasure!"
We found these huge dried bamboo leaves growing down by the railway line
near our house and collected a bag full!
We decorated them with oil pastels and attached them to a cardboard crown.
Collect stones - or shells, leaves, pebbles, conkers - and write your name!
A great opportunity for fresh air - collecting autumn leaves.
We enjoyed painting these.
Make a Bug
Grab a zip lock bag and go collecting in your garden or the park.
We made this bug using a lolly stick for the body and then added
sticks, leaves, berries, dried grasses.....
